Searching for the one
Mood: hug me
Now Playing: Sah!
Topic: Summer Daze

Have you ever had one of those moments of weakness where you are totally committed to being single then out of the blue a man who could be the one approaches you? I haven't yet so I think... but then all my wiser more experienced friends who know better tell me that I have. Now I am left with my head reeling and my earth titillating on end.... (I don't even know if that's a word however I'll make it work) I don't know perhaps I met the one when we danced the night away that night all those months ago in the solstace of winters dread, then again perhaps I'm just being wishful... oh to go back to yesterday when none of this mattered and the only problem I had was that the rent was due and there was no peanut butter in the cuppord.... oh if only if only... the drama... anywas that's my rant...

Well folks I'm getting ready to head out on the highway my son will be done school in 2 days then it's a go.... yippee... As for the one, he'll have to wait, I got places to be and people to see, and if he's not mobile then perhaps in the next life I'll want to live in one place but not this one...

Happy Summer everyone!

Mood: energetic
Now Playing: Solitude Sounds of Spring
Topic: Spring Adventures

Today is one of those days that is enjoyable no matter what, I have this inner sense of peace and love. I know it does not happen all the time, and I'm enjoying it.

My son has only 5 more school days left then he is done with it. I begin the new life skills program for the summer months at the end of the month and then after that the tour begins... so things are going smoothly.

I got new toll free telephone (1-877-727-2762) and toll free fax number's(1-877-837-5652) now so I feel very positive about how this will help me out! Thanks to Kim and the FOTR site for all the helpful information that I have been able to use!

I also have another Comedy Show coming up at the Regina Treaty Status Services Treaty Day Celebration on June 29, 2009 - 401 3rd Ave N - Regina, Entertainment starts at 7:00 pm. It's a full day event so come out for a full day of fun!

Yep so I'm feeling good and it's a good day to be alive...

Stand Up Comedy
Mood: incredulous
Now Playing: The Tragically Hip
Topic: Spring Adventures

So I am off to do a Stand up comedy show this evening, I'm not sure how it will go, I'm getting pretty psyched! My stomach is doing it's flip flop things, I'm sure that I will perhaps make em smile at very minimum. I'm hoping that some of my friends will show up and give me some encouragement. I've done it before where I've been on that stage with not a soul in the house who was a friend. It's a tough thing, but what the hell If they don't laugh, then I merely am prolonging my life as every minute up there seems like an eternity... *L*

I finally finished my web site renovation and I finally finished my Bent Tour site also.... so if you get a chance click the links!

Anyways if you all get a chance come on out to my show tonight:

Queen City Pub and Grill

9th Ave N & Broad Street

7:00 pm

tickets are $20.00 at the door!

Mood: bright
Now Playing: The Cure... again
Topic: Winter Daze

Well here I sit yet again in Regina... I still long to live back in the RV... but in SK that plan is currently fatal if we did... it's too cold!

My little guy has been wishing to live back in the RV also, but hey we are warm and have one another.

I'm still processing my dad's passing and I have been missing him lately, I realized that it has already been a month since I last spoke with him. I know that the time will only get longer and the pain will become less and more depending on the day and moment. I can say though with 100% certainty that my dad had a good life and lived it to his fullest potential. I still marvel at all his accomplishments and know that I do have his strengths. I want to continue on in his pursuits of true happiness and commitment to a higher purpose in life.

I want to teach my son the things my dad taught me, virtues, self determination and to be independant and true to my own goals and dreams. And how to fix your own vehical... *L*

So I still venture on and know that I will be living life on the road in no time again and I will succeed.

And hey who knows... perhaps some day soon our paths will cross!

My greatest loss

Hi everyone! I don't know who all reads this if anyone, but we recently experienced a loss in our family, my father passed away on New Year's Day.

My Dad's name was Sterling Brass, he was a Great Man, a true Leader with vision and dignity. For those of you who are un-aware, my father was a Political Leader For First Nations through out Saskatchewan and Canada. My Dad was much more than that though, he was a Mushoom (Grandfather) and a Dad.

It's a very difficult thing to lay my dad to rest, however it was even more difficult watching him constantly sick and suffering with strokes and heart attacks.

I am sad, however I know he always loved me and my son, and I know that he is now in a better place and happy and well.

For anyone who'd like to see my dad's memorium and obituary I have posted a link below...

Brrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
Mood: cool
Now Playing: Chatter throughout the house
Topic: Winter Daze

Well hello there friends and family and all of you in internet land! It's too cold in the RV and we have moved into mama's house! Yipes! I know! Oh well we are learning... this is why I decided to stay close to home this year and winter next door (and plugged into) my mom's house!

Sigh... I have one electric heater but it's just not doing it for us and we've been experiencing a drain on my mom's electrical bill, so we decided to spend the next couple of months in my mom's spare room, till the chill goes and we get some warmer weather! Well at least we gave it a shot!

I am currently enrolled in a Carpentry Course and by March I will have my Level 1 Carpentry ticket and with a little more financial earning power perhaps this next winter I'll be more mobile in warmer temps...

Lakota is now attending a public school, quite a change for him as he's only been in school one other time when he was 3ish... he doesn't seem to mind it and I was told by his teacher that he's quite advanced! That gave me a proud moment, since I was not too sure he was getting what he needed from me as far as education was concerned... but cest la vie!

Anyways it's a good day today, my nephew's birthday - Sweet 16, happy days Wyatt... I love you!

And I'm currently in Regina... getting colder, and more Chistmas-ey i think I'm gonna have a good one this year... More will be revealed!

Take care all and happy holidays!

September, October, November...
Mood: caffeinated
Now Playing: sound of dogs in the distance and children barfing...
Topic: Home

Hi there! Currently I am in Regina chillin at my sister's house, my son is in the bedroom ill suffering with a stomach flu, poor guy was up barfin last night... he should be ok by tonight as this same flu ran through my sister's kids and she said it's only a one day flu strain... I am feeling ok, so anyways... here's about my life in the RV...

So it's like this... I am no longer on line, I have come to rely on the good will of my familiy and friends who allow me to use their computers... Also, I no longer have a cell phone so I cannot get any calls. Sigh... working for ones self is not always lucrative... Feast and Famine in my biz...

I have been working, though not steadily, and I have been spending my $$ on winterizing the RV... I'm not too sure if I will be able to pull this off successfully this winter, I am working on it, and hey time will tell!

As it is we are currently plugged into my mama's house on the rez, I have enrolled in a Carpentry course and hope to make use of my new learned skills with doing a bit of a reno in the RV...

Though I am also considering selling the current RV and going with a Tow Model, rather then the Class C... for something more light weight and the possibility of installing a small wood burning stove within it... Thus I am not too sure what is going to happen...

I am leary of putting a wood stove in a vehical that also has a gas tank... too scary... Therefore my logic is to get a towable RV and then install my wood stove, some solar panels and be virtually free of major expenses... don't know though... time will tell...

So far we've been in the RV using a small electric heater and costing extra on my ma's power bill... I believe that my son and I are now used to the space limitations, although I need to find suitable storage for some of my stuff! I really wish my mom would "STOP PURCHASING THINGS FOR US!!!!" from Garage sales... I appreciate them and they are great finds... but I have limited storage... *L*

I am happy to be able to blog though, missed this and thanks to my sister for the use of the computer... Stay Joyful and if you get a chance to laugh today... Do it! Its good for the soul...*L*

My next adventures will be the KAMADA walk on August 12 in Saskatoon at Wanuskewin Heratage park. Then I'm off to the Crow Fair in Montana... and well hopefully I can figure out the border crossing so I can get down south for the warmer weather this winter...

Anyways that all folks... I'm tired!!! Later!

Well the Tornado touched down in a Small City called Yorkton, about 2 hours East of us in Regina... Scary night though, and of all people to be out travelling in the storm.... My MOM!!! She showed up at my sis's house at 12:30 am, just in time for the major Storm Alert in the City, as she travelled down the highway she said that she "followed" the storm, not actually in it... *L* Crazy lady my ma...

All worked out well, and as we slept in the RV it shook a bit, but mostly it was peaceful!

I'm still lookin for some work, on Monday I'll go to a temp agency and see what happens then I think I'm off to the Okanogan time for Fruit Season!

Other than that all is well!

Tornado Warning
Mood: not sure
Now Playing: Football games
Topic: Summer Daze

Well Lucky and I are currently parked outside my sister's home in Regina, SK. Boondocking!! Early this afternoon the TV has been blurting out Tornado Warnings... We may live in an RV, but at least we are not parked in a Trailer Park *L* ... For those who don't know the province of Saskatchewan is the Northern Tip of Tornado Alley...

We went to White Bear Pow-wow this weekend with my mom and her girls... I don't think we will be travelling together after this... *L* There are reasons that children grow up and leave... LOL... I love you mom, but I think we do better when I visit you... and not live with you... LOL!

I am currently looking for a short term job to get some cash so I can do some travelling... The RV has been giving me a bit of problems this weekend as we went to the Pow-wow in Carlyle... gas line problems, I gotta change my fuel filter, I cleaned the carborator and that seemed to help, but I know there is much to be done by way of tuning it up...

So far life on the road is a matter of ironing out those wrinkles...

I think for now I'm going to go and lay low and let this up coming twister pass, peacefully I hope...

Now Playing: sounds of slumber
Topic: Home

Well Lucky and I have been RV living for the past month now! I have finally got to a point yesterday where I beilieve that I downsized enough and have gottten rid of all the things I need to. I am around for the next few weeks then I will get on the road. I have been waiting to take a brief course that will be offered through our local economic development program. Then hopefully I can get off the ground and begin my adventures in travel.

My little one has adjusted quite well and happily hangs out in the RV whenever he has a chance. Our Catzilla is also adjusting, she is very interested in birds out side, and has tried to go out only once, however she is still a bit nervous when the RV moves, and sounds as though she is in a yodelling contest when the RV begins to move.

I still have to figure out things like the furnace, water, and stove... because the bus is old (I've actually dated guys the same age) I want to get those things checked out professionally. I did however have the engine and all that looked at before I purchased it, so I know it will keep running.

Anyways that's about it, I been planning a family reunion with my aunt and mom for this fall on the rez, any relatives reading this call aunt Mary, she'll fill you in!

RV Livin!
Mood: caffeinated
Now Playing: True Final Love
Topic: Spring Adventures

So I have been a busy lady, been boondocking at my mama's house on the rez! It's been chilly... not sure how to get my furnace working. *L*

Had 2 Garage Sales, then just basically gave everything else to my niece who is doing a fundraiser, she can deal with the rest of my "stuff" ... had too much!

Now that most of the things I need are in the "Bus" as my little one and I have come to affectonatly know our RV as, it has been a comfortable transition into RV living!

Our cat on the otherhand is going stir crazy from the small space change, poor kitty!

We went to Vancouver and came back home, had a blast! I am a bit shy though to attempt a trip through our beautiful Canadian Rockies with my RV! Those Moutains were fun to drive with a van, an RV may be a challenge for a newbie like myself! I have been considering going to BC for the fruit season and making some cash picking fruit or working in the packing plants... more will be revealed!

Anyways, being out at the rez though i do not have cellular coverage, so I'll be on here a bit less frequently so stay tuned...

Well, I had myself what seemed like a productive day... until with the touch of one button it all went down the tubes! I was working on a very important marketing letter to be sent out on a mass mail out. Took me 5 days to design my letter and get all 100 addresses typed in and put into merge order! (not quite a technical whiz here)

Today my computer crashed, when it came back on line and i did some tweeking to my so called "saved" work and it went crash again... Next I got it back up and running then decided to go back to it once again... well I made some errors and decided to just close it without saving! That's when it happened! There went all my work, except for an empty template.

I took the rest of the night off! I am currently practicing being more patient with myself as I realize that I can choose to be my own worse critic or my own best friend. I tend to become more impatient when I do not live up to the high standards that I set for myself.

Today my self esteem is a state of being, I know that in order for me to remain serene and teachable I need to remain humble and be thankful for any lessons that life presents.

Anyways, Coga just came to me as I was typing this and declared that tomorrow is going to be a mama/son day... That means that he will have an opportunity to tell me what we do all day! He and I have been practicing this for the last 3 years and he enjoys those days! We ussually have some fun adventures. We are definiately due for another mama/son day as our last one was about 2 months ago... so it should be fun!

With that... good night ...

Well I am only learning about this being on top of the "blog" thingy... I have not been on here in a few days and thought it would be prudent to check in, not that anyone is reading this stuff... If you are "Thanks!"

I had the nicest few days in the last week, I have my young neice visiting us here and she is so helpful, she has helped me tackle the Darkness in the void... (In other words aka: plain english) My Store in the basement... What a monumentous task! And talk about the filth, (kk (neice) told me to start a new paragraph or her teacher would mark this blog at a 4 out of 5)

Those who know me via real life know that last summer I took the show on the road with a summer vendorship and started my Pow-wow store called "From here 2 there". Today I took the store out of the basement storage and gave it a spring cleaning and attempted to begin my inventory calculations etc...

Then as life always takes it's own twists, company arrived... So I stopped my task and enjoyed the last 2 days having a great and invigorating visit with my lovely Auntie Grace! Good conversations and cups of steaming Tea... sigh... that was rejuvenating...

so now I sit and blog... and I am about o embark on lifes sweetests gifts... A good nights sleep... take care all and if you see my buffalo tell me where it is...

yawn!!! G'night...

So Here I sit, once again impressed with The Creator and How if it's meant to be it will happen! I am learning that this universe will let you take the path your meant to take, regardless of the road blocks.

Enough with the Philisofical stuff... Ok So lately Da Bear and I been spending the last few days at home just hangin out. We have begun the down-sizing process, I am hating it! My home seems cluttered and messy all the time every time I turn around I see piles of "stuff" Most of which is either goin to my papa's or to be Garage Sale Stuff.

I woke up this morning in Fear that I would not be able to accomplish this, I have friends that are supportive, for that I'm grateful. As for my family It seems like they are somewhat supportive, but it's like they are waiting for me to come to my senses or something? I'm not sure...

My Current contract is coming to a close and with it, a rather healthy income... *L* So I have been pushing out PR like 90, and doing some tweeking with my Web site. I know that the Creator will help me if I do the footwork, It's happened so much for me in my life I just need to keep my faith.

I have been able to make some new connections with other On-line RV folks who also blog, I'm happy to hear from you and I hope that someday perhaps out paths will cross and we can share some stories and get to know one another.

Anyways, thats it, take care all
